COVID-19 Molecular and Antibody Testing Available With 24-48 Hour Turnaround
We are happy to be part of the solution to the current Pandemic with the release of KBMO's Molecular test.
The EUA approved test utilizes Real-Time Fluorescent-PCR technology (RT-PCR) to detect the presence of SARS CoV-2 RNA. The test is highly sensitive and will detect as little as 100 copies of RNA. This test is also highly specific and detects only SARS-CoV-2 and does not detect 54 other common respiratory viruses or bacteria including other strains of coronavirus. The ability of this test to detect only the pandemic strain will be critical as we enter the flu season and other coronaviruses circulate.
Collection Type
The collection methodology is a Nasal Pharyngeal Swab, which can be performed by one of our 6000 phlebotomists or by your healthcare professional. The turnaround time is 24-48 hours from the kit arriving at our laboratory and posting the results on Box.com, a HIPPA compliant cloud solution.
