Giving Back: Jewelry to Support Native Americans
Inspired by my friendship with Sky Redhawk, the We Are All Related necklace was created to help donate funding to the Native American relief effort during Covid-19. 50% of proceeds from this necklace will be donated to the Native American Relief Fund. Against the backdrop of the Galisteo Basin, Sky plays the flute, beginning the process of a creative collaboration between musician and jeweler. The necklace We Are All Related—from the Lakota phrase Mitakuye Oyasin—emerges as a reminder of our interconnectedness. Native communities have been disproportionately impacted by Coronavirus. My Santa Fe jewelry studio is committed to creating jewelry for the betterment, both through donation that translates to direct assistance and through the celebration of a spirit of unity.
