🕹️ PSX DESR-7000 Overview: The Ultimate PS2
Welcome to this new hardware video! Today, we're tackling a piece of Sony history: the PSX DESR-7000. Released only in Japan in the early 2000s, this hybrid machine is much more than just a console; it's a true Media Center ahead of its time.

In this video, I'll give you a complete tour and a demonstration of what this beast can do once equipped with a Modbo 5.0 modchip.

🔍 On the agenda for this video:
Hardware & Design: Comparison between the 5000 and 7000 series, and a focus on the premium chassis of the 7000 model.

Maintenance: Why are these consoles so fragile? We'll discuss the coupled IDE hard drives and solutions to make them more reliable.

Modding & Chip Tuning: Presentation of the Modbo 5.0 chip installation and conversion of the power supply to 230V (essential for European outlets!).

Software Demonstration: How to launch import games (PAL/NTSC), burned backups, and use Free McBoot to bypass temperamental optical drives.

XMB Interface: Discovering the ancestor of the PS3 and PSP interface.

🛠️ Technical Points Covered:
Using POPS for PS1 emulation.

Bypassing the DVD drive check.

Managing the 40GB allocated to games on the HDD.
