What does an Orthoptist do?
The dedicated team of orthoptists at NYEE's Pediatric Ophthalmology Service work in a multidisciplinary team with ophthalmologists, neuro-ophthalmologists, and pediatric ophthalmologists to evaluate and treat eye movement problems in both children and adults. Using specialized examination techniques, these specialists manage the non-surgical treatment of patients with eye muscle disorders, misaligned eyes, and decreased vision.
