Amnesty International has uncovered how a relentless supply of weapons and ammunitions is flowing into the country, fuelling the dire humanitarian crisis.
Weapons manufactured in China, Russia, Serbia, Türkiye, the UAE and Yemen are being imported in large quantities into Sudan, and then in some cases diverted into Darfur, making the existing arms embargo on Darfur completely ineffective.
Since the conflict erupted in April 2023, more than 16,000 people have been killed, 7 million are internally displaced and 2 million have fled Sudan.
Protect civilians.
Demand an expanded UN arms embargo to stop the flow of weapons into Sudan.
