If you gets locked out of your iPhone because you do not remember the passcode, or the device is Unavailable or Security Lockout, go to Emergency Call screen and enter the secret code to unlock your iPhone without passcode or computer. However, this is not guaranteed working for all users.
In case your iPhone is running iOS 15.2 or later version and connected to the internet, and even you know your Apple ID credentials, try repeatedly entering the wrong passcode until you see the iPhone Unavailable screen asking you to try again later. Then, tap Forgot Passcode or Erase iPhone option, enter your Apple ID password, and choose Erase iPhone to use your Apple ID to reset the device and remove the passcode without using a computer.

For iOS 17 or above, provided that you changed the passcode and soon after you forget it, the Passcode Reset feature allows you to open your locked iPhone with the old passcode.
