Mike Walsh - FALLING (Avid Beats Official Remix)
This is Avid Beats’ 2024 official remix of Spanish artist Mike Walsh’s 2021 song “FALLING”. Avid’s remix is in the style of EDM, house and dance pop.
In this remix, Avid turned Mike’s beautiful, emotional and chill pop ballad into a high energy banger. It retains the haunting and atmospheric qualities of the original (produced by Colin Charles Lanz and Alex Rigueiro) in the pre choruses and bridge, and then explodes with bounce and passion in the choruses/drops.
Mike's lyrics address the tendency of people to pass judgment on others without truly understanding them; how we can step over others, making promises we can't keep. Mike emphasises the significance of shedding our egos and showing compassion towards one another. Even though Mike observes this behaviour from an outsider's perspective, he still acknowledges the need to constantly work on this pattern himself to avoid succumbing to this conditioned behaviour: “I'm falling back, in the back of my mind again”.
For the production, Avid was inspired by his love for 2010s EDM music, the era and style that originally inspired him to start producing in the summer of 2017. He also drew on Mike’s reference of “Stupid Feelings” by LANY and 220 Kid. @thisisLANY @220KID
