Comet ISON's Approach in SOHO C3
Video of Comet ISON's approach to the Sun on Nov. 27-28 nearing perihelion, as imaged in the SOHO spacecraft's LASCO C3 instrument. Note the brightening to a -2 magnitude over the second half of the 27th.
Perihelion is anticipated at 1:38 pm EST on the 28th.
