Gorilla Ammunition 8.6 Blackout 300gr Subsonic Fracturing Projectile Testing
A look into our research and development on 8.6 Blackout 300gr subsonic fracturing projectiles. We're playing with different projectile geometries to achieve specific terminal performance.
For the first design, we wanted to retain all energy within the 20" gel block. We see good radial separation of the petals at 4"-8", while the body tumbles to a depth of about 18".
On the second design, we have much deeper petal penetration from 10" to 15" while the remaining body of the projectile penetrates through the target.
