How to Access Files via FTP of a Lightsail WordPress Instance | Secure FTP Connection
In this video, you will see how to access the website files of an AWS instance via Secure FTP. The example I have demonstrated is with a Lightsail WordPress instance, but you can follow this method for any Lightsail instance.
You need to copy the instance's public IP address and username and download the SSH key. Then, download any FTP client on your computer. I have used FileZilla FTP; it is free to use.
When you are configuring the connection, select the SFTP option because Lightsail provides the SSH option. All the settings are normal except for the password. For the password, you need to use the download key file, which is in the .PEM format.
Once the connection is established, you need to navigate to the WordPress folder, which is located inside the Bitnami folder. In the WordPress folder, you will find all the website files.
You need to edit a file, download the file, edit it on the local computer, and upload the file in the same location. It will ask if you want to overwrite; proceed with the overwrite option.
