ASKAP J173608.2-321635 is the follow-up and soft sequel to Cosmos of the Soul.
Cosmos was a hard concept album, following a journey of discovery into the deepest reaches of the infinite space contained within oneself. It was an origin story about identity and acceptance. Instead of doing a followup hard concept album, this sequel is more open. It is a collection of messages, sent from deep space, hoping that one day, someone might intercept the message and decode it. So rather than one long story, this is a series of snapshots that are connected to that theme of identity and acceptance. This gives me more room to explore and experiment with sounds and ideas, and has led to some of my most exciting work yet!
Nakazora was the past. Cosmos was the inciting incident. ASKAP is the way forward. The ever fleeting present that carries me into my ever expanding future.
