Fitting Windows in Your Van Conversion? Here’s How I Did It – Step by Step!
In this episode of my van build series, I tackle one of the most nerve racking parts of converting a van - cutting holes for windows 😬
I’m installing a universal sliding window and 2 rear door windows in my 2012 Mercedes Sprinter. All of the windows and fitting kits are from Camper Glass ( @THQAutomotive ).
This is my first time putting windows in the van but I am following the instructions from Camper Glass and it looks super simple.
In this video I’ll walk you through:
Creating a template
Marking the cut
Cutting the panel
Cleaning and prepping the edges
Fitting and sealing the windows
And showing you what tools I used along the way
Whether you're building your first campervan or you're deep into your DIY project, this video will give you practical advice and help calm your nerves before you make that first cut.
🔨 Tools used, clear steps, and real-time mistakes — nothing hidden. Let’s get these windows in right.
