Panel Discussion 5: The Inclusion of Children with Disabilities in Namibia
This discussion aims to make viewers aware of the fact that children with disabilities are among the most vulnerable in any society and they rely on the love and care of their parents, family and the wider community for their wellbeing and development. When children with a physical, intellectual or psychological disability are born into poverty, their chances of benefiting from early identification, receiving support and fulfilling their full potential are drastically reduced. Children with disabilities can face discrimination in the form of negative attitudes, lack of support or prioritization, lack of protection and little or no opportunity for education.
