1. Content: Open your Google Docs document: Go to Google Drive (drive.google.com), locate your Docs document, and open it.
2. Highlight the text you want to strikethrough:
• Click and drag your mouse over the text you want to format with strikethrough.
• Alternatively, you can place your cursor at the beginning of the text, hold down the Shift key, and then press the right arrow key to select the text.
3. Format the text with strikethrough:
• Once you have selected the text, go to the "Format" menu at the top of the Google Docs window.
• From the "Format" menu, hover your mouse over "Text" to reveal a submenu.
• In the submenu, click on "Strikethrough." This will apply the strikethrough formatting to the selected text.
If you prefer using keyboard shortcuts, you can also apply strikethrough without going through the menu:
1. Highlight the text you want to strikethrough.
2. Use the keyboard shortcut:
• Windows/Linux: Press Alt + Shift + 5.
• Mac: Press Command + Shift + X.
The selected text will now be formatted with a strikethrough line. You can remove the strikethrough formatting by following the same steps and unselecting the "Strikethrough" option in the "Format" menu, or by using the keyboard shortcut again.
