If you have a specific set of colors you'd like to use in your dashboard, this video will show you how to pull those in and use them in Tableau. This video demonstrates how to use the hex value for colors to add a custom set of colors for your dimensions in Tableau Desktop. This LOOKS scary, because you have to edit an XML file, but it's really very simple.
