Avatar Toruk - The Great Leonopteryx in 7.700 dominoes
One of my favorite designed projects for DDT in 2013 (Theme movies - Avatar). Years later, I really wanted to redesign this magnificent creature from the Avatar movie with every domino color I could use.
This massive fiery flying beast is known as Toruk (meaning Last Shadow) and has a history in the lore of the Na'Vi. If you haven't yet, watch this masterpiece of a movie to know everything about Toruk and the world of Pandora.
Loved designing this again and boy does this look much, much better now! No less than 7.700 dominoes in one field which was almost too big to even build! In case you wonder which colors are used (lamping): Bordeaux, (old)darkred, red, orange, cornyellow, yellow, black and transparent for its translucent edges of its wings.
Hope you liked it, this was a quick edit as I actually wanted to upload my world record attempt of the most mini dominoes toppled but it seems the final answer from Guinness has been delayed. The video is ready though, but for now I will focus on my other big project, the comparison and review of all the big domino brands!
