There's no denying the impact the MCU had on the industry since 2008 with Iron Man and Robert Downey Jr. A success that lead to $28 billion in box office revenue, the acquisition of Marvel by Disney and showed the industry how viable cinematic universes could be. But what if Iron Man flopped in 2008?
