Tina from Texas has been living without a nose for more than 7 years after she had made the decision to surgically remove it.
She reports that everywhere she goes people keep staring at her and she didn't want that to affect to children so she came up with a rather humorous way of coping with it.
Tina refuses to hide and does not let the way she looks define her. She refuses to submit to society's beauty norms and considers herself pretty no matter what.
So what's the reason behind Tina's Decision?
Tina had to make a very hard decision following a diagnosis she had received in 2014 that she had nasal cancer and she had to choose between radiation treatment or removing her nose. Radiations had a great risk on her eyes, her glands and her brain which led her to chose the rhinectomy.
Although facial prosthetics do exist and that the result is very convincing, Tina had worn hers for a couple of years before deciding that she was better off without it.
