Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) has begun formal sales of the updated Model 3 Performance in China, after listing the model on its China website and starting pre-sales in late April, and with an earlier delivery date than previously planned. “Effective immediately, the Model 3 Performance will move from pre-sales to formal sales, with first deliveries expected to begin in mid-June,” Tesla said today on Weibo.

On January 9, Tesla opened the Model 3 Highland order books in the US. Deliveries were projected to start by the end of the month, and now we have an official timeline. Based on delivery updates received by people who were already assigned a VIN, the first Highland units should be united with their owners between January 25 and February 8.
