Subtitles for Videos: Fastest Way to Create and Sync (on Youtube)
Here's a thorough lesson on how you create subtitles for videos - with a simple functionality on Youtube. This is a lesson from the course 'Strong Scripts'.

I've created subtitles for videos more than 200 times over the last 3 years, and I prefer this method above all others. Why? Because what it may lack in initial speed, it makes up for in professionalism.
If you have put in the hours to create the video, you also want to make sure that the subtitles for your video are 100% on point. Therefore, you don't want to settle with any auto-sync or generated closed captions.
My advice: Create the subtitles for your video from scratch. Listen to a sentence, copy paste the text for that sentence, and set the timing to match the exact start and end-point in the video.
If you learn to create subtitles for videos this way, you will be able to text your videos in a way that reminds of how tv-subtitles look and feel—one/two lines at a time, and with a bit of room in between.
