Meet Neal and Dalia, two big-time chefs who live at the cutting edge of the cooking world. Whether it's private chefing, pioneering plant-based cuisine at some of the best restaurants in NYC, or coaching New Yorkers on how to build a healthy relationship with food, these longtime friends are each striving toward a unique vision of what it means to come together and consume. Tonight, they're kicking it at glorious 66 Greenpoint in Brooklyn, to the tune of a live show commemorating the 50th anniversary of hip-hop and featuring some of NYC's best up-and-coming rappers.
Neal Harden is the Chef of Plant Based Development for Jean-Georges International and Executive Chef of abcV, a restaurant co-created by chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Paulette Cole. His interest in natural foods began while playing bass in punk bands as teenager. After years of cooking vegetarian meals for band mates on tour and line-cooking gigs, he decided to pursue his passion full time and moved to New York City to attend the Natural Gourmet Institute for Food & Health.
Dalia David is a Social Impact Chef and Food Network Chopped Finalist. From cooking thoughtfully for her family at a young age, to becoming one of New York’s most prominent wellness chefs, she's combined her innate skills of cooking with helping people understand their relationship with food so that they feel confident to design their own gratifying eating habits.
