In this baseball coaching tips video I explain the #1 most important thing for baseball coaches and that is to dominate the first team meeting! Making sure that you are able to communicate how you picture the team and program running throughout the year to all of the players, parents, and staff, is the most important thing for baseball coaches. Because if you get this right, you will have a fun, stress free, baseball season. But if you go in unprepared, or worse yet, don't communicate at all (in a meeting or otherwise), then you're in for a huge surprise because I guarantee players and parents aren't going to act like you think they should unless you explain how you expect them to act. This requires having a plan for how parents can contact you to talk whether about playing time or other issues. Also, it is so important to establish a team goal on day one. Because if you can have your entire team, the players, parents, and coaches, buy into the goal early, you will have a much better chance of accomplishing that goal.
