Three years ago, my good friend Tom and I made something that changed our lives forever. DripQuest is something very special to the both of us, something we've taken and developed further into DripQuest DX, which will serve to be the completed and finalized game. However, DX would not exist, if not for the original Cave Story mod, created and released on September 16th, 2022 for an event known as Modfest 32 (in the Cave Story Modding Community). DripQuest has grown so much over the years, many know of it, and many have heard of it and have seen it grow in so many different ways. DripQuest DX is a project with so much time and love put into it by not only Tom and I but also a whole team of artists and programmers who are excited to see it to its end, and we hope someday soon you will too. It cannot be overstated how much it means to all of us working on it, which makes today a very special day.
With the anniversary of the original upon us, however, I have decided to go back to the roots of this quest and revamp it a little, fixing some bugs and improving the art and design slightly, and, after 3 years, I have released a brand new patch for the original DripQuest, tentatively titled "DripQuest: Anniversary Edition". New costumes for the Drip Store, new art, and various fixes and balancing stuff await you in this definitive edition of the original adventure that started it all, while also preserving it as much as I can. Many who know of DX aren't even aware that there was an original before it, and, with the two being so different, I hope this video serves as a nice look at where we got our start from while informing those uninformed of the foundation of DripQuest.

DRIPQUEST: ANNIVERSARY EDITION!!!
IMPORTANT NOTE: I did not remove any content from this version. In an effort to preserve the original game as much as I can, I only fixed bugs and redid some artwork. No content, dialogue, or (most notably) characters were removed, it is based on the most updated version of the original Modfest release. There is no DX content featured in this video or release of the game. This is the original DripQuest, as presented for the Modfest event in 2022, with a new coat of paint and some fixes here and there. There may be one or two things featured here which have been removed in DX, so if there is a concern over anything specific, or anyone specific, being featured here (whether that be a cameo or a character anywhere), rest assured it is only in this version and not in the final DripQuest DX game and was not touched here in order to preserve the original release's integrity. If there is a problem here, please reach out. I would love to discuss this further, if needbe.
Now...about DX...Well, if this quest isn't drippy enough for you, I'm sure you'll be happy to hear a grander one is on the horizon.
