Alfred Tries To Play: Summer Challenge (Sega Mega Drive)
The sequel to Winter Challenge ( • Alfred Tries To Play: Winter Challenge (Se... ), like that game this is pretty much an unofficial Olympics game, though based on the Summer Olympics instead of the Winter Olympics this time.
As in Winter Challenge, there is a selection of different events to choose from and there is much use of primitive 3D, which as in that game looks somewhat impressive but tanks the framerate and playability. In fact I think it's an even bigger problem this time.
Some of the events (archery and cycling) play acceptably but some of the others like kayaking and the jumping events are nigh unplayable.
A mixed bag, but not a very good one. However it may just be worth playing if you have Piko Collection 2 on Evercade, where this game and it's predecessor can be found.
