How to calculate the submerged depth of a floating body, also called “draft” or “fractional volume submerged”. This buoyancy example problem uses a truncated cone as the floating object, which has a changing cross section increasing its difficulty over box or cylinder problems.
This fluid mechanics practice problem falls in the fluid statics module of the course.
