about the project
‘Fresh’ uses real instruments including drum kit, electric bass, double bass, electric and acoustic guitars, electric sitar, ukuleles, banjo, mandolin, acoustic piano and acoustic percussion instruments such as shakers, bongos, shells and tambourine. Blended with these are classic keyboards such as the Hammond B3 Organ, Wurlitzer and Fender Rhodes electric pianos, as well as the use of subtle synth pads and sampled orchestral string instruments. Gareth recorded all these instruments and sings melodic top-lines and backing vocals.
The album consists of 12 main track titles with one-liner vocal hooks, instrumental versions (no lead vocal), many stem-out underscores, 30-second and sting cuts.
about the composer
Gareth James Hudson is a prolific composer, recording artist, musician and record producer from Australia.
Gareth works from his recording studio Hazy Cosmic Jive, and has produced and recorded with award-winning artists including Jayteehazard (producer of Hilltop Hoods), The Last Kinection, Briggs - featuring Gurrumul, The Beards, The Buddy Knox Blues Band, Amy Vee, Auriel Andrew, in addition to his very own Hudson Arc album and single releases.
Gareth also composed Turning Corners (101M041), Radio Friendly (101M044) and Motivations (101M051) for 101 Music Pty Ltd®.
