We have to be extremely selective about who gives advice to our young women. In this video, Sister Kadesha explains why Umar Johnson gets it all the way wrong on advising young women to financially support men who are not their husbands.

Kadesha Smith is a recovered feminist and former black nationalist turned Christ-follower, wife, homeschool mom, and business owner.

What Is @Meachum Village?

Meachum Village is a community of Black American families who are using scripture and history to fix our marriages and break the cycle of family dysfunction. We share solid, Biblical guidance to help us commit to Christ and each other. The ministry is named for two heroes of the faith, John Berry Meachum and his wife Mary. They were Christ-followers who helped free dozens of people from slavery. Their guidance for Black families in 1847 is still relevant today.
