Sampling Workflow: Making a Beat From a Single Piano Note//Turn Samples into Instruments
In today’s video we’re going to take a look at how to use one shot samples, or a single note/sound as an instrument in dawless gear like the SP404. If you’re using a DAW, this works the same using a stock sampler plugin. For today’s beat we’re going to use a single Rhodes piano sound that comes stock in the iOS app Koala Sampler. From there we’ll use Koala’s scale mode to make the piano line, then resample a single note from the melody and make a bass with it on the SP404 MKII using resampling, repitching and chromatic mode.
