India Launches Aditya-L1, First Spacecraft to Study the Sun.
India's space agency, ISRO, successfully launched Aditya-L1, the country's first space-based mission to study the Sun. The spacecraft will be placed in a halo orbit around Lagrangian point 1 (L1) of Sun-Earth system, which is about 1.5 million km from Earth.
