Many people have a hard time telling their dog no and correcting behaviors. Society has built up this idea that it's cruel. Hello! Have you ever been told no? Of course! Have you ever been punished? Of course!
Nature has been practicing punishment forever in order to teach right from wrong, safe from dangerous. Our dogs that share our homes and coexitst with our children need to learn as well, and we have to be the leader and teach them.
The only way we are going to correct behaviors and really save dogs lives from being put down due to unwanted behaviors is by telling them no and punishing dangerous and inappropriate behaviors.
It is what it is.
Now we don't have to be abusive to teach our dog no. There are plenty of humane ways to go about it, but we must do it.
So if your dog is behaving inappropriately or displaying dangerous behaviors tell your dog no and don't be afraid to correct them.
