The issue of rape and sexual assault has always been a trending issue in our schools and Colleges.
Getting raped on a date, by a friend, and others remains a recurring silent story of many College students. It is therefore important that everybody, especially students and parents know and be aware of the different ways to avoid getting raped or sexually assaulted in schools.
The use of drugs is one of the ways rapists disguised as course mates, friends, family members, and other acquittances employ to assist them in their nefarious activity during events, night parties, clubbing, and sometimes innocent visits to a friend and others.
These drugs are quite powerful and dangerous. Known as date rape drugs, they can be slipped into your drink when you are not looking and because the drugs often have no colour, smell, or taste, it is hard for you to tell you are being drugged until you have been sexually assaulted, raped, and sometimes killed for other purposes.
This video will shed light on the different types of drugs used in date rapes, their street names, how to recognize them, signs that you may have been sexually assaulted, and what to do when it happens.
