Westfalia Camping on the Nolichucky: Buses on the River 2018
Buses on the River is an annual VW Bus camping trip at the Nolichucky Gorge Campground in Erwin, Tennessee. This was its 19th year overall and my 3rd year attending.
From Chattanooga, I left on Friday and drove 234 miles into Tennessee, to Erwin and the Nolichucky Gorge Campground.
As you can see, this is not your typical campout. There's a disco burrito breakfast, spam cookoff, dancing and costumes, and a float race down the river. I loaded up Sir Quacksalot and joined in the festivities.
After the weekend, we packed up and headed for Johnson City for a quick drink at Yee-Haw Brewing.
