Everyone has something to add to the world and something unique to only you can make. That doesn’t mean everyone will be the millionaire or be the best at something, but that the act of creation (whatever it may be) is an act of love for humanity and the realization that we all just want to connect and we are all connected and have things that resonate with many other people. This is why music and visual mediums are so easy to understand and are so popular, the reason we have religious imagery, and why not many things measure up to a great storyteller.
Self love is big right now and despite the popularization of monetization, creating started as and always will be a physical extension of a person. It has become novel to create as a job, but just like professional athletes often say: “We’re playing a child’s game”. So just as the trope of the Starving Artist, create for yourself and whatever it is that you deem fulfilling and be okay with it not being for the public, money, etc.
Be inspired and in awe of what we have created in the blink of an eye on this earth and understand that you will never know how something you create will touch someone and what the reach of any creation is.
