The global energy demand is projected to increase by 45% by 2030, with 80% of energy needs being supplied by non-renewable fossil fuel resources.
Indonesia has an average annual crop production of 8.74 tons per hectare, with only 30% of agricultural waste being utilized as livestock feed.
The concept of circular bioeconomy is the right solution. Its goal is to reduce social-economic-environmental costs by enhancing economic competitiveness through the conversion of waste into valuable products.
If used properly, Indonesia's abundant and sustainable biomass potential can fulfill national electricity needs.
Through integrated and synergistic collaboration among stakeholders, including government, farmers, industry, academia, and the community, I am ready to be a part of this program, for a better future.
