How Deep the Father's Love for Us ~ (from the tack room late at night)
I was nervous about posting this video. Mostly because I have never shown my face before. But so few people actually see these videos, so it's no big deal, right?
I was up late with a sick horse the other night. It was cold, I was tired, and the I.V. fluids were taking forever to run their course. I had already worked from sun-up to sun-down. Sometimes I wonder why I give so much of my time and energy to take care of such accident prone creatures.
As I was sitting there in the cold office of our tack room, I was reminded of how much these horses mean to me. How much I care about their wellbeing. How I willingly give time, energy, sleep, comfort to make sure they are healthy, because I love to be around them. It struck a chord in my heart. This is a love that God put into my heart when he created me.
This reminded me of how much God loves us, the beings he created in his image. He loved us so deeply that He sent his only Begotten son to save us and give us new life and meaning. This song speaks these truths beautifully.
