Clint Nohr was a comedian in New York City but he came from the South and was at the height of his powers on the road. We were always "hey-buddy," back-of-the-room-fist-bump-in-the-dark friends at comedy shows, performing before and after one another at bars, basements and tiny clubs all over New York.
Then he took my storytelling-as-standup class last fall, and I'm so glad that we got to be friends through it.
Clint was living with cystic fibrosis and he'd made it further than most people do. Then he passed away in March. Today would have been his birthday.
Wear your damn masks.
This video is from our class show on October 21, 2019. He talks about addiction, cystic fibrosis and working at Chik-Fil-A, and the whole thing is so, so Clint all the way.
Clint was one of those guys who just focused on funny. He didn’t do stuff to network, to be “optimizing social media,” to market and promote. He was just GOOD. In that spirit, I’m posting this video without subtitles.
