IR Tool - Information Retrieval - Search Engine
An Android app that behaves as a search engine for a static corpus. It connects to Mongo DB Atlas, runs queries against the database and ranks results by cosine similarity. The importance of each term in the user query is also taken into account to improve ranking. Champion Lists are implemented during the indexing phase to speed up the cosine calculating process by 43%.
