Reusing YouTube videos, effectively utilizing YouTube SEO, and thumbnails can be a great way to boost your YouTube search exposure and, in other words, revive dead YouTube channels.
If your previously uploaded videos have low YouTube views, try deleting them and reuploading them to revive your hard-earned videos.
However, it's important to understand the proper YouTube reuploading method to avoid violating the duplicate video and reused content policies.
This is part 1 of a three-part series on reviving dead videos on YouTube, including disabling subscription feeds to keep your existing subscribers in mind.
This is part 35 of YouTube 101, a beginner's guide to YouTube development and channel growth.

1. Search Engine Optimization Modification Experiment
As a result of conducting a test with the cooperation of other YouTubers, those who had previously implemented SEO work
ranked higher with two of the three keywords added during the modification.
Those who had not implemented SEO at all
ranked higher with the addition of two keywords. All three are top-ranked.
2. When should I change my thumbnail?
If your video is being viewed but has a low click-through rate, you should change your thumbnail.
3. How to check click-through rate
Click the Reach tab at the top of the analytics section of the video you want to check in YouTube Studio.
4. YouTube click-through rate & exposure, comparing with previous ones.
Typically, click-through rates range from 2% to 10%. However, they can be very high, such as 30% to 40% in the beginning.
5. Reasons for changing thumbnails other than click-through rate
Thumbnails can become outdated due to trends or improvements in skill.
So, it's a good idea to update them regularly.
6. Reasons for previous SEO changes
In addition to keywords and search terms, the "current status of my channel" (average views, viewer engagement, subscribers, etc.) also affects top rankings.
So, if your channel has grown significantly, keywords previously predicted by TubeBuddy may now be usable.
Thank you.
