Here's how to display the temperature on Macs equipped with Apple Silicon M1, M2, M3, M4, etc. chips. The process differs from that of older Intel Macs. For those, the temperature of various components was monitored (such as CPU temperature, processor speed limit, or the number of active cores). With the ARM64 architecture of the newer Macs, it's the thermal pressure exerted on the CPU and GPU that is measured. This represents the processor's headroom.
