In this video, I discuss the various factors that influence how quickly a patent application is examined at the USPTO. These factors include how many examiners there are in a particular art unit, how many applications are directed to that art unit, how quickly the examiners work, and what kind of turnover there is in examiners who quit the USPTO for private sector jobs.
