In this video we will be setting up the ESP8266 node MCU board in Arduino IDE
in the first step you have to click on the file now click preferences in this Pop-up window you have to paste a URL in

additional board manager you can find the link in the description of the video now click OK in the second step we have to click on tools and then on boards you can see different arduino boards here but we don't have any esp8266 board here under boards you can see the option of board manager click on it we will search here for node MCU we have to install the esp8266 community in this community a variety of boards like node MCU esp12 generic esp8260 phonics boards SparkFun ESP and many more this installation will take some time finally it's done now we have to click close we can see we have two Options under the board tab the first one is Arduino boards and the second one is esp8266 boards we will click on the second option you can find all the sporting boards with ESP now we will click on node MCU esp12e module we will Implement a simple blank example on esp826x node MCU for that we will go in examples under the file tab now click on esp826x now click blink the next step is to select the communication Port I have selected communication Port 6 as the board is connected with the system through this port the last step is to click on upload button by clicking the upload button first the code will compile as the code is being compiled let's look at the board you can see here as the code is being compiled and it's not yet uploaded we don't have any output on this board
coming back to the Arduino IDE you can see the writing process has been started
on completion of the writing process we will get a done uploading message as you
can see here now looking at the hardware we can see blinking of LED in the upcoming videos I am going to interface temperature sensor and current sensor with the node MCU and we will send the data of these sensors on things Peak hope this is informative for you
