SPAMMIN' & SCAMMIN' With Your Friend Mitch: RAT Email Scam
This isn't a new series or anything like that, but I happened to get a few funny spam emails and figured I could have a bit of fun with them, and maybe help out a few people who aren't as comfortable spotting scams when they get sent them.
So today, join me while I show you how to Unsubscribe from a mailing list, what to look out for to gauge if an email is fishy like odd promises and poor grammar, and some of the tactics scammers use to try and trick the uninformed.
Our star today is a mysterious email from the sender "I Know" who claims to have infected me with a RAT (Remote Administration Tool) virus. But when we take a closer look at what he claims to be the case, does it hold water?
