Life was nearly wiped out trying to destroy it,
Grim noises screeched across cities while it flew,
Might've lost its metallic wings and limbs and the blood-covered fins,
But the damned engine kept creeping through.
Beware! It never stops - we've tried and tried,
Don't try to hide, hush far before it reaches you.
Originates from the Snowpiercer concept, a crazy vehicle built to withstand anything. Merging that with a storyline in my head brought this piece to life.
It's an abstraction of the most vital part of any body - the core/engine/heart.
The artwork depicts an incredibly powerful machine - a ship being under possession of an evil spirit unleashed because of a grave mistake made by civilization. Now it sails across the cities and oceans, sucking the life out of any living creature in its way to fuel itself.
The piece's current scenario is an aftermath of a great war against the ship/the evil where a massive plan was executed in order to destroy them. For a while, it felt like the humans succeeded...but it was only a matter of moments before the grim noise rose again from the dust and ashes of war. Yes it was depleted to bits, lost most of its integrity but now the true evil emerged from its core and the damned engine kept moving towards the troops again - as if it was almost unstoppable.
