Closed User Group(CUG) is a feature that restricts content access to a selected group of users on a published site.
When you assign CUG to a page, that page requires a login, and only CUG-admitted users can access that page.
Enabling the CUG with the required ACL for the specific content allows the content to be accessible only to authenticated users with the required permissions.
Create a user group with required permissions and associate the group with CUG enabled page; add the required users to this group so they can access the specific restricted page.
By default, the authentication-enabled pages(including CUG) are not cached in Dispatcher(/allowAuthorized “0”); if you want to cache CUG-enabled content, you should use the permission-sensitive caching (PSC) feature of the dispatcher.
