House of Ashes (2026 Full Movie Game Playthrough):
I'm back for my final game in the dark pictures anthology season 1 with House of Ashes. I've honestly put off playing this one for some time because it didn't look that great to me but I also try not to spoil myself too much and a military group as the main character focus for the narrative just usually doesn't interest me. and as soon as I started it I felt the same way I knew I was going to feel, and that they did not make some of the actors look very flattering because they chose poor angles... HOWEVER! That is quickly offset once these story starts taking off and you get into it.
This game definitely takes the spot of second only Behind The Devil in Me In terms of rank order. they did really good at basically going to one extreme and then going further multiple steps with the story. To the point that, I knew an eclipse was going to happen and the game because that's what I would write and when it finally happened I was still like oh s***! (Very minor spoiler).
Some of the acting is a little rough but I think that can also be expected if you don't fully explore every aspect of a character with all the dialogue choices so sometimes you get eaks at the character that seem kind of out of place and I did my best to edit around that in certain places. The gameplay is as expected for one of these games and I had no problem with it except for maybe a couple of quick tiime misses, but that's on my end...
But in terms of overall storytelling and understanding everything that's going on by the end I think everything was a good reveal that kept raising the stakes for a wild ride!
