Colorful value axis with symbols for positive and negative numbers in Microsoft Excel
To apply a colorful formatting to the value axis, go to Format Axis pane and under Number type the custom formatting in the Format Code box, then click add. Format code sections can be specified for positive numbers, negative numbers, and zero, separated by semicolons and exactly in that order. To apply the colors, include their names in square brackets. The color names depend on the language of the Microsoft Excel that you are using. Symbols can also be added. For example, an arrow pointing upwards can be added by pressing together the Alt-key and 24 on the numpad. An arrow pointing downwards can be added by pressing the Alt-key and 25 on the numpad.
