Another instance of arrogance by a public official occurred in Chetumal when reporters from Channel 10 went to the IPAE building to document the condition of the offices after torrential rains caused severe flooding, including within the government facilities.
However, and inexplicably, Landy Blanco Lizama, the Heritage Coordinator of the Quintana Roo Public Administration Real Estate Heritage Institute (IPAE), attempted to obstruct the reporters' work, demanding that they not film on site, despite it being a public building and a government office.
