Mindscapes International Summit, Bengaluru | Wellcome
The Mindscapes International Summit was held in Bengaluru in 2023 to celebrate Mindscapes – Wellcome’s international cultural programme aimed transforming how we understand, address and talk about mental health.
To mark the culmination of the Mindscapes programme globally, members of the Mindscapes community from London, New York, Berlin, Tokyo, San Francisco, and Los Angeles travelled to India to articulate and cross-share learnings and insights about mental health across different geographies.
They met with practitioners comprising the Mindscapes Bengaluru Cohort — artists, researchers, psychologists and psychiatrists, as well as partnering institutions such Museum of Art & Photography (MAP), National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Indian Institute of Human Settlements (IIHS), Science Gallery Bengaluru, and India Foundation for the Arts, among others.
Through a diverse range of enquiries and events held across venues in Bengaluru, Mindscapes International Summit explored the question — how can cultural work become a lever for transformative conversations on mental health research and policy?
