Journey to Work - Beijing Traffic
Gliding through the full streets in the late morning in Beijing city. Using one of the ubiquitous shared bicycles standing around everywhere in cities in China. It is fun using these bicycles and I enjoy riding with all the other people along. Sadly, the surroundings aren't the nicest and my way leads along the third ring road which is also one of the most busy streets within the city.
The air pollution here is mainly caused by dust and sand coming from the western deserts of China. Especially in March and April the wind coming from the west will pick up a lot of sand, as north-western China is very dry.
