If you're a beginning piano player and your mind goes blank when you look at the piano keys, this video is for you. :-) It helps you see "hidden" connections between different chords, specifically related chord "triads" (with three notes) that share two of the same notes.
Once you follow along moving through these chords, you'll never be stuck looking at a "blank" piano again, you'll always see related chords you can move to.
PianoGenius.com was created by Tim Gross, who has been a professional rock/pop keyboard player for 35+ years. He's performed with Robin Zander (Cheap Trick), Terri Nunn (Berlin), Tommy Tutone, Chuck Negron (Three Dog Night), Greg Kihn, Sammy Hagar, John Waite, Mickey Thomas (Starship), Kevin Cronin (REO Speedwagon), George Thorogood, and others, and currently tours nationwide with Rick Springfield.
Most rock/pop musicians don't play from sheet music, they just use very simple chord charts to play from. If all you want to do is play popular songs (whether it's just for your friends or professionally) you don't need to bother learning to play classical music or to read sheet music.
The PianoGenius.com training was created to focus specifically on what will help you the most, and skip over frustrating things you'll probably never even need to know.
